Honors Statistics

Honors Statistics can be an elective but also can count as a Math credit to satisfy the  four Math credit graduation requirement. It is a great option for students who know that they will not be pursuing a college degree that requires Calculus. In fact, Statistics is the most often required Math course for college majors across all disciplines. Students interested in medicine, engineering,  agricultural sciences, social sciences, business, math & sciences will need at least one Statistics course. Checkout the full list from the American Statistical Association (ASA).

Honors Statistics can be taken at any point after Algebra II, allowing the classes to be a great mix of Juniors and Seniors. Students often take Honors Statistics their Junior year and AP Statistics their Senior year to gain a strong foundation and bridge to their college-level coursework.
